Pastor Roger SmithPastor Smith earned his undergraduate degree from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College and served as an assistant pastor for two and a half years in Wisconsin.
In 1991, the Lord led Roger into construction where he was able to develop his skills and use them in a missionary carpentry ministry. In 2001, Roger went on staff at Camp Joy in Wisconsin as the building and grounds manager. In 2006, the Lord led their family to Montana, where Roger worked for a friend in construction and started his own business in 2013. From 2009-2015, Roger served as an interim pastor in their church in Montana, while the church searched for a pastor. In 2019, the Lord once again directed the Smiths, this time to Boone, Iowa and Berean Baptist Church. Roger continued in construction and served as a Sunday School teacher and deacon in the church. Upon Pastor Ralph Harmon's announcement of retirement, Roger was considered for the position of pastor. In September of 2021, the church voted to call Roger Smith as their next pastor and he assumed full responsibility in October of 2021. Pastor Smith’s desire is that people would grow spiritually and that, through their growth, the Lord would allow them to see people saved, discipled, and added to the church. |
